Unsurpassed Protection and Power Management
Atwood's ProTechTor® Series 2001 Gas Alarms provide unsurpassed protection from the
dangers of harmful gas while minimizing the consumption of power in the recreational
vehicle. The ProTechTor® Series 2001 incorporates a power management protocol that
delivers unbeatable utilization of the available battery load in an RV. It also
features a new "Power Conservation Mode" to further extend the battery life.
Recognizing that the amount of available power in an RV can fluctuate widely, the
ProTechTor® Series 2001 is designed to provide protection over a very wide band of
available power; from 14VDC to 8VDC.
Microprocessor Technology
The ProTechTor® Series 2001 utilizes the analytical capability of the microprocessor
to provide both reliable sensitivity to dangerous gas and to provide the highest
discrimination to potential false alarms resulting from high humidity, hair spray,
ammonia and alcohol based cleaning solvents.
Sensor Activation Strip
Atwood was the first to utilize a sensor activation strip during the RV manufacturing
process. During the manufacturing process, the presence of fumes from solvents and
glues can overpower a detector. The use of a sensor activation strip protects the
sensor and ensures that the end user receives a detector in "fresh" condition.
Warnings & Alarms
In addition to providing the user with proper notification of dangerous levels of
LP, the ProTechTor® Series 2001 also provides the user with valuable information
regarding the level of available battery supply power. The system of warnings and
alarms are easy to understand and provide the RV owner with a wide range of
protection.
